Located in central Baltimore County, we are looking for boys and girls ages 6 to 16 who are interested in playing rugby. Currently we draw players from Baltimore County, northern Baltimore City, eastern Carroll County and southern Harford County. Our training and match facilities are at Meadowood Regional Park, a first rate facility with seven playing fields. It is located off Falls Road in the Greenspring Station area of Baltimore County. There are four non-contact age groups:
U9 - 6 to 8 years old U-11-9 to 10 years old U13 - 11 to 12 years old U15- 13 to 14 years old
In addition to non-contact Youth Rugby, the PRU Youth League (PRUYL) will have three age groups for contact Rugby. They are:
U13 - 11 & 12 year olds U15 - 13 & 14 year olds U 17- 15 & 16 year olds If there is enough interest, they will add a U-19 group. We are members of the Lutherville-Timonium Rec Council and have been since our inception in 1994. The L-T Vipers were the first non-contact Youth Rugby team established in the PRU. Our coaching staff include current and former members of the Baltimore-Chesapeake BRUMBIES RFC as well as parents new to the game.
While we look to compete at the highest levels our primary goal is to introduce rugby to a broader spectrum of people. With this goal in mind, ours is a relaxed learning environment geared toward teaching the fundamentals of the game, encouraging sportsmanship & camaraderie and fostering an enjoyable family experience.
